Powered by QCT’s IronCloud platform, OmniPOD’s 5G Core is built on a cloud-native foundation that ensures flexibility and reliability. It delivers system resilience through self-healing network functions and more, maintaining continuous service even in the event of failures.
The system is further validated for ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC) with two operational modes, achieving above 99.999% packet delivery reliability and lower than 9 ms round trip time (RTT) latency.

Enhancing configuration flexibility & network efficiency

OmniPOD’s BBU supports up to four cells and each cell can be independently configured as either an indoor or outdoor RRU, enabling flexible deployment and expanded radio coverage. While multi cells scale base station capacity, a fully loaded OmniPOD BBU consumes only 260W, demonstrating exceptional power efficiency.
To ensure efficient use of network resources, QCT OmniPOD also supports network slicing. By segregating the network into uniquely configured slices, OmniPOD can support diverse service types and efficient resource allocation. Mission-critical traffic is guaranteed through isolated and dedicated sliced resources, while best-effort applications share the remaining capacity without ever competing with or impacting critical services.
Managing your network with enhanced granularity and security

QCT OmniPOD comes with OmniView, an in-house developed network management system with an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) to provide a single-pane-of-glass visibility and manageability across Core and RAN. OmniView is equipped with comprehensive FCAPS capabilities, namely fault, configuration, accounting, performance, and security management functions, to meet all essential network management requirements. Furthermore, the latest update of OmniView allows users to monitor the network traffic of every connected UE, providing enhanced granularity.
For users that prefer to integrate OmniPOD with their existing management platforms, OmniPOD reserves the option of third-party management integration via its northbound interface (NBI).
To better control network access, OmniView supports 5G equipment identity register (5G-EIR), an advanced authentication function based on device-to-SIM binding policies. Under 5G-EIR, connections are secured through blacklist or whitelist mechanisms, defined by configurable policy modes. Whether users choose to implement the blacklist or whitelist mechanism, 5G-EIR reinforces strict UE access control to ensure network security.
